The camera game

September 20th, 2008 (09:02 am)

"Take a picture of yourself right now. Don't change your clothes, don't fix your hair; just take a picture. Post that picture with NO editing. [except maybe for size or too dark] Post these instructions with your picture"

Here's mine, with my new cell phone camera, shrunken. Haven't combed my hair yet today.

And The Lesson Is: don't take a picture with a cameraphone held at arm's length.

Shrug. Your Nokia probably has a better lens; my Motorola has had reviews complaining of poor image quality. Only reason I used it is that I've been trying to find out just how bad it is.

How have pictures of other things looked?

Not good. With sunlight, I managed a reasonable picture of a tree, but even that was pretty blah.

Does this mean you're going to return the camera?

No. The camera isn't an important feature of the phone for me; if I want to take good pictures, I'll carry my regular camera. A phone that had the 3.5G data of this one, and a good camera, would be another $200.
