Strange new use of the word...

April 2nd, 2007 (08:14 pm)

This morning I came across a reference to Typhoid Mary, and dug into Wikipedia to find the actual history. The article I found cross-linked to the Marvel character of the same name, wherein I found this gem: "she began to lead a normal life, becoming a soap opera star".

I'm sorry, but you've got to have a really broad definition of "normal" to encompass soap opera stars. :-)

There was an interesting episode of Nova about her a while back

Acting on a soap would be a more normal life than permanent quarantine, anyway.

crazy

IIRC she was a hooker who got involved with Daredevil, so, yeah, soap opera would seem positively normal to her.
