Bush's priorities

July 28th, 2005 (10:23 am)

So, Bush doesn't have time to go to the funerals of the soldiers he sent off to die, but he does have time to go to a memorial service for four Scoutmasters who died of stupidity?

The four leaders killed Monday were to be remembered yesterday at a memorial to be attended by President Bush, but the evening's events were canceled because of the threat of severe thunderstorms and strong wind.

Proving that the organizers were wiser than the scoutmasters...

Please be aware that he has long been scheduled to speak at the National Jamboree, and this is only a change of topic, not of schedule.

What does one say about these wonderful men who turned their own selves into really poor quality electrical conductors?

"Some say Frank was brilliant. He was, briefly. Harold, as we all knew, was the head of the band and the choir. Unfortunately, in the end, he made a terrible conductor. Giuseppe was a real sparker -- a firebrand -- at times a hothead, but one always got a charge out of meeting him. And James? James could always be counted on to liven up a party, or jolt you into awareness."

It is ill to make fun of the dead. Too bad it's fun.

I'm sure that Bush will also give an electrifying eulogy. Hair raising. If the amps are working right.

Gah, best to stop now. :-)

But Bush isn't so hot on current events.
