current mood: 19° F

There are lots of reasons we won't be moving back to California.

But, you know, I really wouldn't miss the feeling that my eyeballs are freezing over.

Your eyes might feel better if you would blink, occasionally. :-)

Blinking

Blinking...blinking...<googles>... Oh! So that's what I'm doing wrong! ;-)

No, actually, I tend to blink unusually often. No idea why.

What I'm sure my wife is thinking is that my eyes might feel better if I would give in and wear a scarf...

Not a hat? Surely, a hat!

Re: Blinking

Oh, yes; I wear a parka with a hood. But, on a Ludicrously Cold Morning, my face is still too exposed. I own a ski mask, but these days I use it only when I have to shovel snow; it'd be...rude...to wear it walking through Cambridge.

Wedding

I have a wooly scarf which I made specifically for seeing through on cold windy days in Boston -- it's got large crochet stitches so you can wrap it across your face and glasses.

Does he wear it? Noooooo.

I don't miss digging my driveway out after the snowplow goes through and leaves icechunks in it, personally.

we're still plowed in. looking out my window, it's a sea of white from the car all the way to the frothing pile of plowed-in winder-wonderland goodness.

And there's a good 10' of snow between the road and the mailbox. Will my neighbor dig a path to the mailbox this time? Doubtful. I think this once I'm prepared to drive to the post office for my mail for a week as an experiment :-)

yup, condo. definately thinking condo. :-)
