current song: That would be telling :-)

Got the idea from greatsword: lyrics from some of my favorite songs. Which ones can you identify?

(Edit: italicizing lines that have been identified.) (Edit again: removing italics, because they're all identified now.)

  1. "Where does magic come from, I think magic's in the learning"
  2. "Eve pull down the apple, and give a taste to me"
  3. "On either side the river lie Long fields of barley and of rye"
  4. "At the stillpoint of destruction, at the center of the fury, all the angels, all the devils, all around us, can't you see?"
  5. "And it's a heave (ho!) hi (ho!), coming down the plains Stealing wheat and barley and all the other grains"
  6. "She said I have swallowed a secret burning thread, It cuts me inside, and often I've bled"
  7. "And if I ever lose my hands, lose my plow, lose my lands"
  8. "Let me reach, let me beach, on the shores of Tripoli"
  9. "If we wait for the time when all souls get it right, Then at least I know there'll be no nuclear annihilation in my lifetime"
  10. "And as you feel it, you'll know it's true That you are blessed and lucky"
  11. "These are the days of miracles and wonders, This is a long-distance call, The way the camera follows us in slow-mo, The way we look through it all."
  12. "Without wings, without wheels, without anything but the love we feel"
  13. "Moving forwards, using all my breath, making love to you was never second best"
  14. "You know just how I feel, You know when love is real, It changes the life that you're living"
  15. "One, two three, four, Can I have a little more? Five, six, seven, eight-nine-ten, I love you!"
  16. "Oh, there's sober men aplenty, And drunkards barely twenty"
  17. "Oh, she moved like the deva do, I said I'd love to dance like you"
