Last night I had my final for the last class for my master's. I was a little concerned, because this class has had a lot of arbitrary details to memorize (more like chemistry than physics), which caused me trouble on the midterm (I got something like 85%). I'd been studying for the past week, but I kept feeling as if I was missing something, because, when you stripped out the stuff the professor said he wasn't going to ask, there didn't seem to be much hard stuff left.

Turned out I wasn't missing much at all; most of the test was pretty simple. (There were two questions about iSCSI that hadn't been covered in class, or in the material I read; but I think I was able to infer them, just out of general networking knowledge.) I finished up in 50 minutes and went home.

So, I think there's a good chance I've got an A for the course (I've got perfect scores on the homework assignments, which make up 40% of the grade), which means I keep my 4.0. Not a huge deal, but kind of satisfying.

Yay! Many Congratulations on finishing school, and getting a (fingers crossed) 4.0 to boot!

Congrats.

Thanks!

And if you want arbitrary details to memorize, try anatomy. :-)

Ugh. No, thank you. I already spend enough of my time trying to understand things that developed incrementally, always changing just enough to fix the current problem.
