The Adventures of Gadget Boy

September 16th, 2005 (11:10 am)

Cynthia and the kids are at McDonald's. The kids are playing in the indoor playground thingy. There's some sort of computer there (I don't know what for; I haven't seen it). It wasn't working; the screen was dark. Elizabeth tapped on the keyboard or something for a bit, then wandered off.

...but Arthur looked at it and said, "Oh, we need to press the green button in the back!". He did so, and it turned on.

That's my son. :-)

Kids silly nose

The trouble is deciding which one?

* When he started unscrewing the tension bolts on the schooner's rigging?
* When he took the sink taps apart several times a day for a week, and lost a little ornamental thimble part down the drain?
* When he pipes up in public and says "My penis is like a hose?"

And that's only in the past half year.

Aren't you supposed to be vacationing in California?

You could do a world tour of the WiFi hotspots of the area -- report on the coffee, if they have enough green in their decor, decide which one showcases your sweetness's beauty appropriately....

Tension bolts

Yeah, except (a) I don't like taking pictures of them misbehaving (they love having pictures taken, so it'd encourage them), and (b) I didn't realize what he was doing until later. I looked down and saw him fiddling with a nut, and made him stop. I screwed it back up, but just to keep it on the bolt (he'd almost gotten it off); I didn't know what it was for until I mentioned it to Cynthia. :-)

At least this Adventure is one that, if I'd been there, I could have taken a picture. :-)

*Wince*

Oh, my. Um, yes. Actually I think we'll hang the tapestry over it, and not tell him it's there.

Security Through Obscurity is notoriously prone to failure. Kids look Eyerywhere.

Good point. I'm not sure how to lock it, though. Will consider. At present it's in one of the non-childproofed rooms.
