Pro-life inconsistency

The BBC, in an article on stem-cell research, says:

President George W Bush opposes the legislation and says he will veto it.

While he is in favour of stem cell research, he is against publicly funding "science which destroys life in order to save life", he says.

So, by that line of thinking, he should be opposed to publicly funding the military, right?

(Edit: the White House has the full context of the quote.)

There's no science in the military! That's *technology*...

Science is what snooty intellectual Liberals do. You can tell because they wear white lab coats and pocket protectors.

Do they still wear pocket protectors? That's so analog!

Maybe it's to keep the memory sticks and flash drives from banging into each other.

"You got memory sticks in my flash drive!"
"You got flash drives in my memory stick!"

"Two great technologies that taste great together!"

Sounds like you have a bumper sticker. ("I am opposed to funding that which destroys life in order to save life", and a picture of the Pentagon.) I can see a market for it, especially in Cambridge...
