So, let me get this straight. Cat Stevens is a dangerous terrorist sympathizer, but Jerry Adams is OK?

Who is Jerry Adams? And did he, like Cat Stevens, convert to a very vocal fundie Islamic sect years ago and say the USA was evil?

Jerry Adams

Jerry Adams is the leader of Sinn Fein, the political arm of the IRA. I suppose he may not have set any bombs himself, but I can't see any reason not to call him a terrorist. NPR this morning was mentioning that Ted Kennedy and the White House are both refusing to see him when he comes to the US this week to drum up support for the IRA. (This is a change; Kennedy, at least, has been meeting with him ever since the Good Friday Accords, but the IRA has been backsliding recently.)

And what someone says is not grounds for arresting them.

Re: Jerry Adams

It's Gerry with a G -- found it headlined on BBC.

Of course it is. Didn't you read about the gradeschooler who wrote a story about zombies doing things to her school, and her grandparents turned her into the police? There have been many such stories.
